An ERW Tube Mill is a continuous production line designed to manufacture welded steel pipes and tubes from steel strip coils. The complete process combines material preparation forming high frequency welding sizing cutting and inspection to produce finished tubes with consistent dimensions and weld quality.

The production process starts with the steel strip coil. The coil is loaded onto the uncoiler and continuously fed into the tube mill. The strip ends are then cut and joined by the strip cutting and butt welding system. This allows continuous material feeding and reduces production interruptions during coil changes.

After passing through the accumulator, the steel strip enters the feeding and forming section. A series of forming rolls gradually bends the flat strip into the required tube shape. The formed edges are then heated and joined through high frequency welding, creating a continuous longitudinal weld.

After welding, the external weld bead is removed to improve the surface quality of the finished tube. The welded tube then passes through the cooling section before entering the sizing and straightening mill. This section controls the final dimensions and straightness of the tube and helps achieve consistent production quality.

The continuous tube is then cut into predetermined lengths by the flying saw without stopping the production line. After cutting, the finished pipes are transferred to the pipe discharging and run out section, where they are collected, stacked and bundled.

The final tubes are inspected for dimensions, surface condition and weld quality before being transferred to storage or shipment.
